Cathy Gordon for Kansas

It is OFFICIAL – I have recorded my candidacy for Kansas State Representative, District 18, for the 2020 elections. Shawnee, Kansas is my home. I was born in Kansas from generations of entrepreneurs of hard-working farmers and small business owners. I am a wife, mother, nurse practitioner and business woman in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors of our state. My mission, as your state representative is to be a voice of and for the people. To guide our legislators in making smart health care decisions without compromising excellence and quality. To empower the small business to growth and flourish while creating jobs, and incredible work force. To make change based on a public health focus of safety and outcomes. To growth our state financially, enhancing our labor forces while educating to our youth to be good workers and community advocates. I am a common sense conservative, lifelong Republican, ready to join our incredible legislature and work for my community. Kansas is a state where dreams are possible, caring for our neighbors still happens, and doing the right thing exists. Your vote is powerful. Please vote for me, Cathy for Kansas State Representative in 2020.

I look forward to serving Kansas in 2020 and beyond

Cathy Gordon

Enhance economy

OPEN THE STATE

OPEN THE SCHOOLS (parents need to choose what is best for their children).

Supporting HB 2054, enhancing local county, reducing Governor powers of closing the state, and supporting healthcare workers.

Nurse practitioner restriction

Nurse practitioners have restrictive practice regulations at all levels of Nurse practitioners which include nurse-midwives, and nurse-anesthesia. These restrictions must be removed to aide Kansas’s increased access to providers. A proven model noted by Kansas Efficiency Budget of 2016, CMS strong start, Birth Settings in America and much more.  Use of Nurse practitioners is a solution to the health care crisis and saving money throughout the state.

COVID19

  • Support small businesses in getting back open and staying open through tax credits

  • Protect business from liability of COVID19 infection amongst their employees
  • Allow businesses to decide how to implement their COVID response.
